Joe-Ejims Publishing Ltd Launches with Debut Memoir The Whisper Before the Coup by Joseph M. Ejim
London, UK — Insert date — Joe-Ejims Publishing Ltd, a new independent imprint dedicated to memoir and narrative non-fiction at the intersection of politics, business and real-world decision-making, is pleased to announce its launch and inaugural title, The Whisper Before the Coup by Joseph M. Ejim.
Part political thriller, part business memoir, The Whisper Before the Coup follows a young consultant sent to advise a small West African nation on critical reforms—only to find himself working in the shadow of an approaching coup. What begins as a routine assignment quickly becomes a study in whispered warnings, vanishing officials and the fragile machinery of power.
“For decades I have worked where finance, politics and infrastructure meet,” says publisher and author Joseph M. Ejim. “Again and again, I’ve seen that the most important stories are rarely told in public. This imprint exists to give space to those who were in the room when decisions were made—and to present their accounts with honesty and care.”
Joe-Ejims Publishing will focus on a small, carefully curated list of titles each year, including memoir, narrative non-fiction and analytical works rooted in lived experience, with a particular interest in African, diaspora and global south perspectives.

About the Book
The Whisper Before the Coup
The Whisper Before the Coup offers a vivid, ground-level view of a state in slow-motion crisis: cabinet offices, hotel lobbies, airport runways and safe houses, all converging in the days before a political rupture. It is a story about risk, loyalty, and the thin line between “business as usual” and catastrophe.
